There is a huge literature related to nethood. Politics, sociology, internet communities, social software, philosophy, urban planning. The same holds with practice. There are numerous efforts across the globe to create sustainable local communities. How can nethood contribute?

There two important practical open problems:

- Try to put everything in context. Which are the most interesting ideas? What do we learn from all this research on different fields? What can help in practice?

- Try to answer the following question: How can the ideas developed in a certain cultural environment be applied in another? We should generate a categorization of ideas and functions that can tranform them to be applied in different contexts.
